Karl Ward MSc

arl has expertise in protocol development and design. Karl leads on all aspects of clinical management and development of the Chronic pain and Neuromodulation research portfolio across NIHR and commercially funded research as well as all aspects of research governance. He works with the feasibility and financial set up of clinical research in an NHS context as well as project management of research studies from design to close out.

Karl is also Expert Research Ethics Committee Member for the Health Research Authority and a Good Clinical Practice Facilitator for the National Institute for Health Research where he is responsible for the Delivery of GCP and Informed Consent Teaching to Research delivery staff across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

With extensive experience in the Clinical field including, research, management and education, and interest in medical education focused on Clinical Research delivery, Karl is committed to the delivery of high quality, innovative clinical research.
