Kathleen Bell, M.D., is a neuro-rehabilitation specialist and Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She holds the Kimberly-Clark Distinguished Chair in Mobility Research.

Dr. Bell received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from Temple University Medical School. She completed a residency in rehabilitation medicine at the University of Washington as well as a National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research fellowship.

Dr. Bell joined the faculty at the University of Washington in 1985 and remained there until joining UT Southwestern in 2014. At the University of Washington, she held a number of leadership positions including Medical Director of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program, Medical Director of Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinics, Director of the Acquired Brain Injury Fellowship Program, and Chief of Clinical Services for Rehabilitation Medicine.
