Dr. Kathleen M. Campbell, MD, joined the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition as a fellow in 2000, after completing her pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Following the completion of her fellowship, she pursued an additional year of training in pediatric hepatology under the mentoring of Dr. William Balistreri and the physicians and surgeons of the Pediatric Liver Care Center, becoming one of the first in her specialty to obtain focused training in this field.
In 2004, Dr. Campbell was appointed assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, and the Pediatric Liver Care Center within the UC Department of Pediatrics. Her clinical and translational research interests include post-transplant renal dysfunction and genetic modifiers of disease in biliary atresia.
