Kathryn Hayward, MD co-founded International Integrators, a collaborative, global community dedicated to the promotion of Integrative Health. Integrative Health brings together the best in conventional medicine, whole, plant-based food, movement and mind/body/spirit disciplines. International Integrators supports Integrative Health programs worldwide, publishes weekly blogs and offers Living Whole Immersions, which are five-day retreats in Spain and California.
Kathryn graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1986, starting her professional life as an internist and gradually transitioning to Integrative Health. She works by skype, phone and in-person sessions with individuals and families who desire a holistic approach with a conventionally-trained physician within her private practice, Odyssey Journey: A Collaborative Approach to Wellness. In 2013, she published her first book, “Odyssey Family Systems Companion Guide”, which is available on Amazon Kindle.
After 20 years of service, Kathryn retired from her positions as Associate Physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She and her husband, David L.Thomas Jr., co-founded and coordinated The Integrative Health Collaborative in Boston, which began in 2007.
Kathryn and David have lived in Inca on the island of Mallorca since 2011 and prior to that had been frequent visitors to Spain. They have two children and three grandchildren, with a fourth on the way.
