Keith Gordon PhD

In 2016 Dr Gordon joined Abbvie as the senior scientific director for women’s health in the US Medical Affairs group. He has been part of the cross-functional teams that successfully shepherded elagolix, the first orally active GnRH antagonist, through the FDA regulatory process, culminating in its approval for the management of moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis in July 2018. Prior to that, he held various positions in the Global and US Medical affairs departments at Merck, Schering-Plough and Organon. His early research career was with Dr. Gary Hodgen at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine working on pre-clinical proof of concept studies with various pharmacologic agents utilizing specific non-human primate models of various female reproductive conditions/diseases.
