Kerry Gunn is a specialist anaesthetist in the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Auckland City Hospital. He leads the anaesthesia group of liver transplantation in New Zealand, and chairs the Auckland Blood Transfusion Committee.
He has developed processes and guidelines in NZ for massive haemorrhage, the use of adjuvant drugs such as recombinant FVIIa, and the use of thromboelastography to diagnose and manage non surgical bleeding. He is a member of the New Zealand National Committee, ANZCA, and an examiner for the ANZCA final exam.
