Kevin Billingsley, M.D., is a gastrointestinal surgical oncologist with a particular focus on tumors involving the liver, pancreas and bile ducts. He also provides surgical care for patients with gastric cancers, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, peritoneal malignancies and sarcomas. Dr. Billingsley’s background includes fellowship training in cancer surgery at the National Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Before joining the faculty at OHSU, Dr. Billingsley was on the surgical faculty at the University of Washington.

Dr. Billingsley and the surgical oncology team aim to provide the highest level of surgical expertise coupled with compassionate, individualized patient care. With his team, Billingsley works extensively with other oncology providers at OHSU and throughout the Northwest to provide comprehensive care for cancer patients through all stages of disease.

Dr. Billingsley is the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and serves on the executive leadership team of the Knight Cancer Institute. His research involves clinical trials in gastrointestinal cancer and studying the mechanisms of cancer cell resistance, metastasis and survival. He has published extensively on topics ranging from the quality of cancer care to clinical studies of therapy for pancreatic cancer and liver metastases. He is also interested in the role of hope and healing for cancer patients and families.
