Kevin Todd Stephan MD, FACP

Dr. Stephan currently serves as Chief of Infectious Diseases and Chief of Medicine at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center and is an Infectious Diseases physician for the Essentia Health East System, which includes appointments on staff at St. Mary's Medical Center and Miller Dwan Medical Center as well as the Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic. Dr. Stephan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School.

Dr. Stephan has significant experience in Infectious Diseases practice, as well as clinical HIV research, and educational speaking. He has held academic appointments at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda MD and Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in St Louis, MO at the rank of Assistant Professor. He has given numerous talks on a variety of infectious disease topics both in the military and as a civilian clinician and is highly sought after as a speaker within the Essentia Health system as a subject matter expert. He is also actively engaged in the education of Family Medicine residents in the Duluth Family Medicine Residency.
