Kim Tang PhD

Dr. Tang received his doctoral degree from the Department of Pharmacology, University of Alberta. He then spent several years working as a research fellow at the Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders of the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Centre in Canada prior to joining Monash University Malaysia as a lecturer. Dr. Tang has won several national and international awards, including a scholarship award from the International Society of Neurochemistry, and the ‘Focus on Stroke’ Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. His current research interest focuses on the mechanisms underlying brain cell death in neurodegenerative diseases.
