Kirsten L. Smith MD, CWS

Dr Smith graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Natural Sciences & Mathematics at Washington and Lee University in 1998. She graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio in 2002. She then completed a residency in General Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University at Portland, Oregon.

In 2007, Dr. Smith entered private practice with Professional Wound Care Services, P.A. in San Antonio, Texas where she provides wound care and hyperbaric medicine at the Methodist Wound Care Center. Frequently lectures on Advanced Wound Care, Diabetic Foot Wounds, Peri-operative Glucose Management, Decreasing Surgical Complications, and various topics in general, vascular, and trauma surgery.
