Larry Burgess PhD

Laurence E. Burgess, Ph.D.Senior Director, Medicinal Chemistry & Lead Optimization, Dr. Burgess has served as Senior Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Lead Optimization since May 1998.Prior to joining Array, Dr. Burgess had been employed by Amgen Inc. in various capacities, including as a project leader in its small molecule drug discovery research program in the areas of respiratory and allergic disease.From 1992 until 1995 Dr. Burgess was employed by Pfizer Central Research working in the areas of inflammation and immunology.Dr. Burgess received a B.S. in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas, and completed his postdoctoral research at Colorado State University.
