Lawrence B. Gelb DDS

Dr. Gelb’s aim is to provide the highest quality of care in a compassionate and comfortable manner. His state of the art office allows for a pleasant patient experience and his warm, easy going manner allows for maximum communication between Dr. and patient.

His clinical responsibilities go hand in hand with his commitment to continuing education, participation in organized dentistry and periodontics, and teaching having lectured to numerous professional societies. For the past 25 years he has served as Director of the Middlesex County Dental Hygiene Study Club. This organization provides continuing education courses in the fields of dentistry, medicine, and general well-being to hygienist throughout the state.

He is Publisher and Editor, along with his colleague Dr. Neal Lehrman, of The Wavelength at an online case reports journal. This publication will help usher in a new era of collaborative dentistry by bringing together both clinicians and patients alike into a marketplace of ideas dedicated to the discussion of and advancement of Laser Periodontal Therapy (LANAP-Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) and its related procedures.

After completing dental school at Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery, Dr. Gelb completed his training in periodontics at The University of Connecticut School of Dental and Oral Medicine.Dr. Gelb is a past president of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists and the Middelsex Dental Society. He is also currently a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeast Society of Periodontists, the Connecticut Society of Periodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Middlesex Dental Society.
