Dr Lindsey Pope graduated from University of Glasgow in 1997. Initially working in hospital medicine both here and in Australia, before training as a GP in Paisley. She has been a GP partner in Port Glasgow Health Centre since 2006.
In August 2006 she was appointed as an Academic Fellow in General Practice based at NHS Education for Scotland. She has been teaching at University of Glasgow since 2006. This has included as a VS tutor, a Communication Skills tutor, and teaching of students at her own practice in Port Glasgow. Currently, she is the Director of Vocational Studies. Additionally, she is a GP trainer, examiner for the RCGP and GMC Education Associate.
