Lisa Joy Bolden MA, CCC-SLP

Lisa Bolden, MA, CCC-SLP, is a certified and licensed speech pathologist who specializes in voice. Lisa joined the UCLA Speech Pathology Department in 2000. She launched the UCLA Speech Pathology Voice Team that she continues to lead. The UCLA Voice Team's practice is centered on voice as important to the quality of life. Lisa is a founding member of the UCLA Swallow and Speech Preservation Program for patients undergoing radiation therapy for head and neck cancers. Prior to joining UCLA, Lisa guest lectured on North American communication style at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business (previously known as the Graduate School of Business), and taught broadcast voice at Columbia College. Her work was published in Contemporary Business Communication, Boone, Kurtz, Block, 1997. Lisa started her career at Schwab Rehabilitation Center where she developed and led the Professional Voice Program. Lisa earned her master's degree at Northwestern University and her bachelor's degree at the University of Arizona.
