Dr. Lisa A. Ruth-Sahd is an associate professor at York College where she teaches Basic Principles in Nursing Practice, Perioperative Nursing and Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology. She holds a BS in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in Nursing Education from Villanova University, and a D.Ed from Penn State University. She is certified as both an emergency nurse and a critical care nurse. Dr. Ruth-Sahd was inducted in to STTI Eta Eta Chapter at the time of her graduation from York College and is a 1999 Nightingale award winner for Nursing Education. She initiated and continues to coordinate the summer nurse externship program at Lancaster General Health and has worked at Lancaster in the intermediate intensive care unit, intensive care unit and emergency department.
