Maahum A. Haider MD

Maahum Haider, M.D., is a surgeon and urologist at UW Medicine's Kidney Stone Clinic and an instructor at the UW. Dr. Haider's goal is to form a partnership with patients built on trust, compassion and shared decision-making. She believes all patients are entitled to the most up-to-date knowledge and insight on their disease process so they can be actively engaged in their care.

Dr. Haider earned her M.D. from UCLA. She is a member of the American Urologic Association and Society for Women in Urology. Dr. Haider's clinical interests include the treatment of kidney stones, urinary symptoms, obstruction and incontinence. Her research interests include new treatments for prostate cancer, management of urinary tract infections in spinal cord injured patients and treatment options for enlarged prostate in low- to middle-income countries.
