Dr. Ammar is the Surgery/Trauma Critical Care pharmacist at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut and a clinical associate professor at the University Of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. He also teaches didactic courses at the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program. He received his Pharm.D. degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Dr. Ammar completed his pharmacy practice residency with at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Ammar’s main research interests include therapies in acute respiratory distress syndrome, the use of resuscitation fluids and vasopressors in the management of septic shock and outcomes of antimicrobial treatments in critically ill patients.
