Manisha Sharma, M.D., is the Medical Director and a board certified practicing family
medicine physician at Evergreen Health Care, a non-profit affiliate of Evergreen Health Coop,
a new commercial insurance provider that offers members affordable and quality health
care choices, a voice in how their plan is operated. She also is the national Director of
Leadership Cultivation and former New York State Director of Doctors for America, a
grassroots organization of more than 16,000 doctors and medical students in 50 states who
are working to build a high-quality, affordable health care system for all Americans.
Dr. Sharma has lectured widely on health care reform, social determinants of health and
physician advocacy. She has appeared on several major television networks, including
MSNBC, CNN and Fox News addressing health policy, wellness, and preventive medicine.
Additionally, she teaches medical students and residents interested in health care advocacy,
coalition building, grassroots initiatives, social determinants of health, and social justice.
Dr. Sharma is located in the Baltimore, Maryland area where she continues her work to
provide quality care to medically underserved and vulnerable communities, and her
grassroots commitment towards achieving health care for all.
