Marco Manzi, MD, Director of Interventional Radiology Unit Foot & Ankle Clinic Policlinico Abano Terme General Hospital Abano Terme (PD) Italy. He received his medical degree from the University of Milan, Italy. After serving as an Army medical officer, Dr. Manzi completed radiology training at Boldrini Hospital, Vicenza, and at the Radiology Institute at the University of Ferrara. Dr. Manzi then joined the Radiology Institute at San Bortolo Hospital, Vicenza, where he served as Director of the Interventional Radiology Unit from 1999 until he assumed his current position in 2007. An active industry proctor, Dr. Manzi has been involved in teaching distal revascularization technical courses for more than 10 years.
He also teaches peripheral procedures at the MET (Master in Endovascular Therapies) program of the University of Milan Bicocca. Dr. Manzi has authored more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and has been an invited faculty member and live operator at leading medical congresses in Europe and the United States, including Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE), Leipzig Interventional Course (LINC), ISET, Veith, Europcar, Charing Cross, SIR, CCT, TCT, Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). A recent publication is “Ischemic Charcot Foot: Different Disease with Different Treatment?” in the October 2013 issue of the Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery (Torino). He is a member of the Interventional Radiology Section of the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM) and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE). Honorary member of IRSA (IR Society of Australasia).
