Dr. Maria Antonella Ruffino is on the editorial board for the Vascular and Endovascular Review Journal. Maria Antonella Ruffino, MD, EBIR, is a Vascular Interventional Radiologist and head of the Department of Interventional Radiology at the Institute of Imaging of Southern Switzerland, in the Regional Hospital of Lugano. She earned her medical degree from the University of Torino Medical School and completed her residency in Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology at the University of Torino Medical School and a second-level university master's in Interventional Neuroradiology from Università Vita–Salute, San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy.

Dr. Ruffino performs as a first operator EVAR, TEVAR, Ch/B/FEVAR, peripheral aneurysms treatment, aortic and iliac-femoral-popliteal, and BTK revascularization, diabetic foot procedures, carotid artery stenting, PTA and stenting of visceral arteries (renal celiac trunk, superior mesenteric artery), PTA and stenting of renal and hepatic artery in transplanted patients, AVM embolization, emergency endovascular procedures for trauma (bleeding, pseudoaneurysm treatment), vena cava filter implantation and removal, deep venous stenting.
