Marjorie is a qualified solicitor and unusually, she has been a registered nurse for over 20 years. With a BSC in health studies and specialist qualifications in care of the dying and palliative care, she has particular expertise in assessing mental capacity and is happy to help people with communication difficulties or complex care needs, in all types of healthcare settings. As a private client solicitor her primary focus is upon wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate, estate planning, elderly client care and challenging care home fees.
Marjorie completed her law degree and legal practice course at the University of Plymouth where she instigated their first Innocence Project. She is local to Plymouth and has worked at solicitors both in the city and Tavistock prior to joining Kitsons.
