Dr. Mark Berger Anderson is a Vice-Chair of Cardiac Surgical Services, Heart and Vascular Hospital at Hackensack Meridian Health.
Dr. Anderson has extensive experience in cardiovascular care, including fellowship training in heart and lung transplantation. His clinical interests include the surgical management of heart failure and mechanical circulatory support, minimally invasive and robotic heart surgery as well as heart valve replacement and repair.
Dr. Anderson As a leading expert in mitral valve repair and replacements, Dr. Anderson is one of the highest volume mitral valve surgeons in the country where 95 percent of these surgeries use minimally invasive incisions, shortening two-month recoveries to just a few weeks.
His research interests are Cardiac Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Lung Transplantation, Heart Failure, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Heart Surgery, and Heart Valve Replacement.
