Mark Eliot Whipple MD, MS, FACS

Mark Whipple, M.D., M.S., graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his otolaryngology - head and neck surgery training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He practiced in his home town of Fairbanks, AK for several years before receiving graduate training in biomedical informatics in the Harvard-MIT program. He then joined the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at UW in 2001. He has served as chief of otolaryngology - head and neck surgery at Harborview Medical Center since 2007. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Whipple teaches in the UW School of Medicine and does research in biomedical informatics.
