Mark H. Wener MD

A Chicagoan by birth, Mark lived in the Midwest until moving to Seattle for a research fellowship to study lupus immune complex disease. His research helped define the role of autoantibodies to the collagen-like region of C1q in lupus, and its relation to other autoantibodies associated with lupus nephritis. He is currently involved in developing dried blood spot assays used by epidemiologists and other investigators. His clinical work as a rheumatologist includes work with clinical investigators at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in transplantation of scleroderma patients.
