Markus Amann PhD, MS

Dr. Amann is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Theodore H. Stanley Presidential Endowed Chair in Anesthesiology, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Bioengineering at the University of Utah. His research focuses on the neural control of the circulation and breathing, and the development of fatigue pertaining to the central nervous system in health and disease. His long-term goals are to enhance our understanding of the impact of cardiovascular diseases on autonomic reflex responses and associated consequences for patients with heart failure and hypertension.
