Martin Hetzel PD

Assistant Professor Dr. med. Martin Hetzel, Chief Physician of the Department of Pneumology, Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and General Internal Medicine, and Medical Director of the Hospital of the Red Cross, was appointed extraordinary professor by the University of Ulm. With this appointment, the university pays tribute to the teaching activities and scientific achievements of the pneumologist, cardiologist and intensive care physician.
Prof. Dr. Hetzel has been involved in the training of medical students at the Karl-Olga-Krankenhaus, an academic teaching hospital of the University of Ulm since his work as a chief physician at the hospital of the Red Cross, and regularly conducts pulmonary function and bronchoscopy courses for students during the practical year. Through this commitment, Prof. Hetzel enables a close interlinking of research and patient care.
