Martin J. Herman, M.D. is a Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Drexel University College of Medicine and is a full time staff physician at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, Pensylvania. His practice encompasses a wide range of pediatric musculoskeletal conditions, with special interests in traumatic injuries, scoliosis and hip conditions. He graduated from Harvard College in 1986 and completed his medical school training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1990. He was a resident of orthopedic surgery at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School from 1990 to 1995. He completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery in Campbell Clinic/University of Tennessee in 1996. He has practiced in the Philadelphia region since completing his training. He is a member of several of academic societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, American Orthopaedic Association, Scoliosis Research Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has published numerous academic articles and book chapters as well as lectures nationally and internationally throughout his career.
