Dr. Matthew N. McCall, Ph.D., MHS research interests are in statistical genomics and systems biology. Currently, Matthew N. McCall focuses on developing methods to estimate gene regulatory networks from gene perturbation experiments, using microRNA signatures to predict recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation, and examining the effect of cellular composition on tissue-level gene expression. McCall received a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University under the supervision of Rafael Irizarry. McCall's thesis work focused on developing a statistical methodology for preprocessing and analysis of data from a single microarray.
