Matthew Stone MD

Dr. Matthew L. Stone is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. His research focus is on the immunologic mechanisms of heart injury and repair.

He is specifically interested in cellular-based therapies and novel preservation strategies that may prevent or reverse the heart injury that is inherent to transplantation. His hope is to be a part of expanding and improving this treatment option for many awaiting heart transplantation.

His research interests are Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Surgery, Heart Transplantation, Heart Injury, Thoracic Surgery, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
