Dr. Maya Basu qualified as a doctor from Imperial College London. She undertook her general training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Kent and London, before completing a subspecialty training fellowship in Urogynaecology at St. George’s Hospital in London, resulting in subspecialty accreditation in Urogynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
She was awarded a doctorate (MD) for her research into the overactive bladder and urinary incontinence.
She was appointed as a Consultant Urogynaecologist at Medway NHS FT in 2013, and subsequently as a Consultant at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester in 2018.
She has published and presented widely on many aspects of gynecology and reproductive medicine”
