Mehmet Bayramicli MD

Dr. Mehmet Bayramicli graduated from Kadikoy Anatolian High School in 1978 and from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty in 1985. Having completed his compulsory medical service as a general practitioner in Can, Canakkale, he started his specialty training at Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and became a Plastic Surgery Specialist in 1994.

Having completed his compulsory medical service as a Plastic Surgeon during the years 1994-1995 in Kartal Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Training and Research Hospital, he worked as an Assistant Professor until 1999 at Marmara University, Medical Faculty, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

During 1997-1998, he worked as a Research Fellow in Institute for Craniofacial and Reconstructive Surgery in Southfield, Michigan (USA). He received the grand prize at Resident Research Day for original research he conducted during that period. Dr. Mehmet Bayramicli won the Dean’s Science Award of Marmara University, Medical Faculty in 1998 and the International Publication Incentive Awards of Marmara University in 1997, 2000, and 2001, he became Associate Professor in 1999 and Professor in 2005.

He was Assistant Dean of Medical Faculty and the Director of the Basic Microsurgery Training Program both at Marmara University, he served as a member of the advisory committees of various National and International scientific journals and research programs. He became a specialist in Hand Surgery in 2011 and in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2012.

Dr. Mehmet Bayramicli has lots of scientific papers, mostly in international journals, has written a book that is used as an important reference guide in microsurgery, as well as chapters published in various books. Every year, he gives lectures in a lot of national and international scientific meetings and participates in panels. He also takes an active part in the organization of numerous national and international meetings. As a board member of both the Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Association for Reconstructive Microsurgery and as one of the founding members of the Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons, Dr. Mehmet Bayramicli also served as the president of the Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

He is also a member of different international professional organizations like Interplast-Turkey, ISAPS (the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), IPRAS (the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery), and Rhinoplasty Society of Europe. Dr. Mehmet Bayramicli’s works focus on the aesthetic nose, breast, face, and body reshaping surgeries, as well as breast, nose, and face reconstruction and microsurgical reconstruction after cancer and accidents, a lot of which have been published in the international literature.
