Dr. Melissa Li-Ng received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and then received her medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York. She completed her medical residency at New York University Medical Center. She proceeded to do a research fellowship at the Bone Mineral Research Center at Winthrop University Hospital in New York, doing research on osteoporosis, vitamin D and bone metabolism. Dr. Li-Ng then completed her endocrinology fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She joined the Endocrinology Department in July 2009. She served as the Associate Program Director of the endocrinology fellowship program from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, Dr. Li-Ng joined Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, helping to establish the endocrinology department when the hospital opened in 2015. She served as the Chief of Medical Informatics from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Li-Ng returned to Cleveland in August 2017 as an Enterprise Physician Advisor in Medical Operations and as a Staff Physician in the Endocrinology and Metabolism Institute.
