Mert Calis MD, PhD, FEBOPRAS

Dr. Mert CALI was born on November 16, 1983, in Ankara. He completed his secondary and high school education at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School in 2000, graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2006, and received the title of a medical doctor. In 2013, he completed his specialization training in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and earned the title of 'plastic surgery specialist'. Between 2013 and 2015, he fulfilled his state service obligation at Ankara Training and Research Hospital Plastic Surgery Clinic. In 2019, he successfully completed the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences Advanced Plastic Surgery doctorate program and received the title of MD-PhD (Medical-science doctor).

Between 2015-2018 Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Plastic, In 2005, Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli – A successful Medical Faculty Student of the Year, in 2012 Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association 34. National Congress Assistant Papers Competition First Place in Clinical Branch, in 2013 Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Association 35. National Congress Specialist Research Competition First Place in Experimental Category In 2016, the Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association 38th National Congress Specialist Research Competition was awarded the First Prize in the Experimental Category. By successfully completing the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) exams in 2013, he obtained the title of FEBOPRAS (Fellow of EBOPRAS), which is the European Plastic Surgery Qualification title.

Dr. Mert worked at Harvard University in 2005, Yale University in 2011, and the University of Washington Seattle Children's Hospital in 2018 for training purposes in the fields of pediatric plastic surgery and craniofacial surgery. In 2019-2020, he carried out clinical minor training in the fields of craniofacial, lip-palate clefts, and pediatric plastic surgery at the University of Washington in the United States. He has 40 scientific articles published within the scope of international SCI and SCI-E indexes, and more than 30 scientific articles in national indexes. His professional interests include plastic surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery, and cleft lip and palate.
