Michael James Mosier is a Surgeon at the Oregon Clinic. He is board-certified in Surgery. Dr. Mosier specializes in and focuses on Critical Care, general surgery, necrotizing soft tissue infections, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome/Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, and acute burn care and rehabilitation at the Oregon Burn Center. Oregon Burn Center is the only burn center in Oregon and cares for both adult and pediatric burn patients from all over the state.
Prior to this work at the Oregon Clinic, Dr. Mosier was an Associate Professor of Surgery at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and vice-chair of clinical trials, division of trauma, surgical critical care, and burns, at Loyola University Medical Center.
Dr. Mosier earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University. Located in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, Saint Louis University School of Medicine was established in 1836 and has the distinction of awarding the first M.D. degree west of the Mississippi River.

Dr. Mosier underwent general surgery training at Loyola University and has been active in teaching and research at Loyola University. He gained fellowships in trauma, surgical critical care, and burns at the University of Washington. The Trauma Burn and Critical Care programs are located at Harborview Medical Center, the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region and a leading Trauma Center in the USA and internationally.
