Michael Jenkins is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon based at Imperial College and St Marys NHS Hospitals. He also runs private clinics at The Harley Street Clinic and The Wellington Hospital.
His practice involves all aspects of elective and emergency vascular surgery and he has a specialist interest in tertiary referrals for complex aortic disease. He also has expertise in the endovascular repair of aneurysms, endovenous (varicose vein) surgery, carotid surgery (strokes), arterial bypass surgery, and thoracoscopic sympathectomy.
Mr. Jenkins graduated in 1989 from the Middlesex University School of Medicine as the 1st Broderip Scholar. He went on to complete further surgical training in London and was awarded the Gold Medal FRCS. He was appointed as a Consultant to St Mary's and Chelsea & Westminster hospitals in 2001.
He is actively involved in clinical research and has been published extensively in papers and book chapters. He is also regularly invited to speak at international conferences and is an examiner for the European Board of Vascular Surgery. He is currently a council member of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Chair of the Circulation Foundation, and President of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy.
