Michael S. Berlin, M.D., founder and director of the Glaucoma Institute-Beverly Hills, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in laser surgery and in the research and treatment of glaucoma. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Berlin attended the University of Michigan where he received his Bachelor of Sciences degree Cum Laude, his medical degree, and his Masters of Sciences degree in Ophthalmology. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan, and his specialty glaucoma fellowship training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Berlin has extensive experience with glaucoma and cataract diagnosis, treatment, and research. He has performed thousands of surgeries and has over 35 years of experience with cataract and glaucoma surgeries. He has been involved with various research projects all over the world developing cutting-edge therapies for glaucoma treatment, and has several patents issued for innovative laser and surgical procedures.
