Mr. Devlin is a Consultant Cleft and Maxillofacial Surgeon/ Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, University of Glasgow based at the Regional Maxillofacial Unit, Southern General Hospital, Glasgow and The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow. He is currently the Clinical Director of Regional Services in Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board with responsibility for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology and Neuroanaesthetics.

He studied at the University of Glasgow, graduating in both Medicine and Dentistry. He has Fellowships from both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow: Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDSRCPS) 1992/ Fellowship in Surgery (FRCS) 2011 and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh: Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) 1999, Intercollegiate Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRCSEd OMFS) 2004.

His clinical and research interests are Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery, Facial Disfigurement Surgery (Both Congenital and Acquired), Facial Aesthetic Surgery and Medical Education.

He has been involved in Medicolegal practice for 12 years. This work has been based in Glasgow and has involved the provision of expert medical opinion and reporting. He produces around 40-50 reports per year on issues relating to personal injury to the head and neck region including the dentition and the mouth, causation and negligence. He will also report on issues relating to complications of Head and Neck cosmetic treatments. He is a member of the Expert Witness Institute and undertakes regular CPD relating to Medicolegal Practice. He will see both children and adults routinely within his clinical practice and is therefore happy to provide opinion on all age groups.
