Dr. Nadia Ayala-Lopez is a pharmacologist and medical laboratory scientist serving as a Postdoctoral Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Diane Krause at the Yale School of Medicine. She earned her Ph.D. from Michigan State University, and whereas a National Institute of Health Pre-Doctoral Fellow, she studied the role of adipose tissue in blood vessel function. Previous to that, she served as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at the University of Washington in Hematology and Coagulation. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Ayala-Lopez's current research at Yale is on acute megakaryoblastic leukemia and her past research projects have included studies in adipose tissue, hypertension, immunology, and toxicology.
