Naymee J. Velez-ruiz BS, MD

Dr. Velez-Ruiz received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico. She obtained her M.D. at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, followed by her Neurology Residency at Boston University. After a two-year Epilepsy/EEG fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Velez-Ruiz served as an Assistant in Neurology from 2010-2011 in the same institution. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Emory University, where she also serves as the Medical Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. In addition, she is the coordinator for the Epilepsy/EEG resident rotation. She is ABPN certified in Neurology. Her interests include medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy, and education in epilepsy, amongst others.
