Omer Alper Gurlek

Prof. Omer Alper Gurlek was Born in Ankara in 1965. Graduated from Hacettepe Medical Faculty at 1989. Became Internal medicine specialist and endocrinology at 1994 and 1996, respectively. Professor of medicine at Hacettepe University since 2004. Short term visiting professor in Mayo Clinic Rochester (2001) and Oxford University, Uk (2006). Published more than 80 papers in biomedical journals with 1200 citations. Major areas of interest metabolic bone diseases, autoimmune thyroiditis and obesity.
