Ozlem Yucel DDS, PhD

Ozlem Ozer Yucel completed her thesis titled “ The Place of Cancer Stem Cell Presence in Oral Cancer and Oral Dysplasia” in Gazi University Oral Pathology Department between 2011-2016 and received the title of “Doctor of Science”. She worked as a guest researcher for one year in GATA Pathology Department between 2013-2014. In addition to his academic studies, she continued his clinical studies in a private oral and dental health clinic in Ankara. She received the title of “Associate Professor” from the Department of Periodontology on 12.01.2018.

As a result of her successful scientific studies, she was awarded the Tubitak BİDEB-2224 scholarship (2012), the Tubitak publication incentive award (2008), and the Turkish Immunology Association XVII. National Congress of Immunology Fellowship (2003) and she made numerous scientific paper presentations at national and international conferences. Assoc. Prof. Yücel, is a member of the Turkish Periodontology Association, the European Federation of Periodontology, and the Ankara Pathology Association.

She specializes in various diagnoses and treatments such as inflammatory gum diseases which may result in tooth loss, gingival recession, and hypertrophic gingivitis and she also continues her academic studies on oral mucosal lesions and oral cancer.
