Pamela Bennett is Executive Director of Patient and Professional Relations for Purdue Pharma L.P., where she develops and manages relationships with national patient advocacy and professional associations. In this role, Ms. Bennett is also responsible for a number of educational initiatives addressing proper pain management and the public health issue of prescription drug abuse. In addition, her department develops and maintains alliances with national thought and key opinion leaders and she serves as a spokesperson for Purdue on pain management to healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and the media.

Ms. Bennett earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Canyon University a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Women’s University, and a Certificate in Clinical Ethics and Health Policy. With more than twenty years of experience in pain management systems, Ms. Bennett was an independent pain management consultant and educator prior to joining Purdue Pharma in 2001. She served as President of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing from 1998 to 1999. Ms. Bennett serves on the Executive Committee of the American Osteopathic Foundation, the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, and is on the Nominating Committee of C-Change. She is also a member of the International Association of the Study of Pain, the American Pain Society, the American Society for Pain Management Nursing, the American Academy of Pain Management, the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Association and the Oncology Nursing Society.
