Dr. Vij is passionate about nutrition, fitness, and human performance. He has been on a quest to help people slow down the aging process and optimize human performance, thereby enhancing health span, not just life span. He practices what he preaches by following a low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory, real food diet, regular physical activity, meditation, and sleep. He adds music and humor for good measure. Board certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine, Dr. Vij has been practicing medicine since 1997. He has helped thousands of people achieve and maintain their goal weight and improve their fitness level, thus helping them live healthier and longer with fewer medications.
He is a firm believer in the mind-body spirit connection and emphasizes the importance of transforming the mind before transforming the body. His fascination with the science of spirituality is reflected in his efforts to seamlessly integrate the wisdom of the East with his quest to relentlessly pursue the truth. He is a sought-after speaker on topics related to health, wellness, nutrition, longevity, fitness and metabolism and volunteers at a local free clinic and has lead medical missions in Honduras and India.
