Dr. Patricia Halpin has been an integral part of UNH Manchester’s biology department since joining the faculty in 2000. As an associate professor of biological science and biotechnology, Halpin fuses hands-on learning and technology to enhance her students’ classroom experience.
Halpin’s accomplishments inside and outside the classroom have earned her the American Physiological Society’s 2018 Dale J. Benos Professional Service Award and 2017 New Investigator Award, Campus Compact for New Hampshire's 2016 Good Steward Award, and UNH Manchester’s 2006 Adjunct Excellence in Teaching Award. Beyond teaching at UNH Manchester, she performs STEM outreach to elementary school students in New Hampshire and in Melbourne, Australia. She also teaches laboratory activities as part of Greater Manchester's summer EXCELL program with middle and high school ESOL students
