Dr. Paul D. Miller, MD, FACP is an internationally recognized physician specializing in research on metabolic bone disease. He is widely considered a leading authority on bone biology and the prevention and treatment of metabolic bone disorders, including osteoporosis.
Dr. Miller received his Medical Degree with Honors from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He then served his internship, residency and chief residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Following his residency in Internal medicine at the University of Rochester, Dr. Miller completed two years of clinical and research fellowships in nephrology at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Miller was then a partner at Western Nephrology; it was during his time here that he became interested in metabolic bone disease. This interest led Dr. Miller to open the Colorado Center for Bone Research in 1994 in Lakewood, Colorado. Dr. Miller is the Medical Director at the CCBR—which is acknowledged as a top facility for the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic bone disease. He is also a Distinguished Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado, Health Sciences Center. Dr. Miller is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology (kidney diseases).
