Pedro M. Rodriguez Cruz MSc, MD

Dr. Pedro M. Rodriguez Cruz, MSc, MD is a La Caixa Junior Leader Fellow at the National Center for Genomic Analysis. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. He is interested in neuromuscular disorders and rare neurological diseases. His goals are to discover new disease genes and pathogenic mechanisms and to develop novel treatment strategies for patients with rare diseases. He has a particular interest in African Genomics and rare diseases in Africa. His aim is to understand how genetic diversity shapes phenotypic variability, disease progression, and disease mechanisms.
