Peter Vadas MD, PhD, FRCPC, FACP

Dr. Peter Vadas is a specialist in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at St. Michael's Hospital, a teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. He has a special interest in the investigation and management of anaphylaxis, anaphylactic shock, food allergies, adverse drug reactions, and reactions to stinging insects. His office practice at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto includes investigation and treatment of allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylaxis, mastocytosis, asthma, adverse drug reactions, and reactions to stinging insects, including venom immunotherapy. Investigation and management of food allergies and anaphylaxis include fresh food testing, drug testing, and graded oral challenges. Desensitization to certain medications may be an option where indicated. Investigation of increased susceptibility to infections, includes hypogammaglobulinemia, common variable immunodeficiency, and IgG subclass deficiency.
