Phil Dalton is a Professor of the Practice of Health Management and Policy at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. Professor Dalton teaches courses and advise students in the Master of Health Administration (MHA) and Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA) degree programs, as well as in Price’s undergraduate track in Health Policy and Management. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President of VHA, a large national health care provider supported by more than 1,500 member nonprofit hospitals.
Prior to this position, he was the founder, President and CEO of Medical Development Specialists, a national health care consulting firm. He also has served as the Vice President for Business Development and Marketing at St. Joseph Hospital and the Vice president of the Camden Group, which provides strategic and business advisory services to hospitals and health care systems. He holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University.
