Maria Del Pilar Valderrama DDS, MS

Dr. Pilar Valderrama DDS, MS completed her training in periodontics at the University of TX Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where she also obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation. She received her dental degree from the School of Dentistry at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Columbia. Dr. Valderamma has worked in private practice, dental education, and research. She is board certified in periodontics and an ITI fellow, as well as a fellow in the International College of Dentists. While at UTHSCSA, she undertook clinical research and academic duties. Dr. Valderrama has published several papers in the fields of periodontal regeneration and implantology and has spoken at numerous national and international dental meetings. Dr. Valderrama is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Osseointegration, the International Association for Dental Research, the American Dental Association, the TX Society of Periodontists, the Southwest Society of Periodontists, the TX Dental Association, and the Hispanic Dental Association.
