Piotr Surmiak MD, PhD

Dr. Piotr Surmiak is an assistant professor at the Neonatology Clinic of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, and a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. Researcher at the Neonatology Clinic of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. He focused his interest on the smallest patients. He devoted to this not only his scientific work but also his professional work as a doctor at the Neonatology Department of the University Clinical Center in Katowice Ligota. He has published a number of scientific papers on the care of the smallest patients. He specializes in transfontanella ultrasound of the head and ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity.
